Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge

I have seen this little sponge before and wondered... "What in the heck do you do with that thing?" Well, now I know and now I will never use my fingers again to apply foundation! Read about how much more you can do with the sponge in one use with out even washing it!

Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge - $9.99 at Target

This sponge came in a clear plastic box... with no directions! I did read online to use it wet so it doesn't soak up your foundation.

Foundation
This is how I use the sponge. First, I get the sponge wet, squeeze it under running water until I can feel that the whole sponge it fully soaked through. After that I squeeze out the excess water and put it a towel and squeeze it a few more times.

Next, I put a about a dime size of foundation my the back side of my hand and dab the bottom of the sponge in it. Then I start to pat my face with it (do not wipe) just pat pat pat.... the pointed part of the sponge works great for the under eyes and gives a nice even coat of foundation. I also use it around my nose.

From what I have heard, it doesn't work well with those wet/dry compact foundations.

Concealer
I use the concealer wand. I like it because its very light and doesn't cake up. I put a few dots under my eyes and take the pointed part of the sponge and pat away under the eyes. (also I just found out you can use concealer over your foundation, I always thought it was only to go under) I do the same around my nose and any other red spots I have on my face.

Blush - press or loose
I just started this the other day, and wow it works great! Take the bottom of the sponge tab it in your blush or bronzer and apply to your cheeks using the same tapping motion. When contouring your cheeks, you can use the small side of the sponge.

Powder
Take the bottom part of the sponge and dip it on you powder, I like to tap the sponge in the lid of my powder to knock off any excess. I tap away all over my face and again use the small side for the under eyes and nose.

After all this is done, I like to use a kabuki brush to blend everything together.

Look at how much you can do for just $9.99!

I have had my blending sponge since October and its about time to get a new one. I do use it a lot and I'm really surprised it has lasted this long!

I wash my sponge with baby shampoo after ever 2 uses. Add a little shampoo and squeeze it under warm water.

There is another product like this called the Beauty Blender.

It goes for about $19.99 at Sephora. I have heard great reviews on this product but have not tried it... yet! If you have let me know how you liked it!
